B.Burns did an excellent main-floor renovation of our home in 2023. Salient changes: completely renovated our kitchen (down to the studs); moved back door from kitchen to study and added a deck; removed load-bearing wall between kitchen and dining room; fully replaced fireplace hearth & mantle/over-mantle; replaced and added extensive lighting throughout the main floor. The job also required rerouting lots of air ducts, refinishing floors throughout the house, and several other details.
At the start, we scoped out the whole job with Brian, and he provided a very detailed estimate with an open book and remained very conscious of our budget throughout the job, always giving cost impacts of change orders as we considered them. He worked tirelessly to present many options for a kitchen layout in a very difficult space. This was very skilled work, and the result was a beautiful, functional, efficient space.
Throughout the job, Brian was onsite almost every day that work occurred, and as the job progressed toward its end, Brian spent a lot of time onsite making sure every detail of the renovation was to our satisfaction. It was very clear to us throughout the experience that our satisfaction was very important to him. I should also point out the craftsmanship of his primary crew was outstanding. With consistent attention to fine detail, they sometimes redid work that we didn’t notice needed reworking.
